Catching Up!

Ok so I've made myself hunker down for this one.  It's been a while since Stella and Scotland updates and with our upcoming move (will talk about that later), I figured I needed to get something out there before it's summer without a news update.

Previously on Stella's Blog...Stella was gearing up for Christmas and our first return to Houston.  Also, we were stressing out about our final VISA applications and the tedious nature of applications in general, let alone, a VISA application.

Anyway, Stella was as good as you can expect a nearly 2-yr-old to be on our long trip back to Houston.  They don't call it LONG HAUL for nothing.  14 hours in an airport and/or airplane is a ridiculous amount of time for ADULTS let alone a child.  Alas, we survived and Stella behaved like, well, Stella-good as always given the circumstances.

She had a blast visiting friends and family and especially loved celebrating 2 Christmases with lots of gifts in Scotland and lots of gifts in Texas!

Da reading her new book from Great Grandma and Grandpa.

I'm glad SOMEBODY got to watch movies!
Stella loved visiting with friends and modeling her Scottish digs.
Stella wouldn't sit with Santa so this is the best we could get :(

Learning to drive already

Being hipster cool (if those two words can be used together)

"Yup! It's all about me!"

Chillin' with the cuz

"Ya...I'm still not getting up."

Found a babysitter! At least Stella got to finish HER drink

Tired from the busy holiday social scene

Ready for school

Christmas lights at the Plazita

It's still all about Stella

It takes so long to open gifts at CASA POPE!

Stella LOVES her books!

Not sure how this happened

Wouldn't leave until she got her swing time

Luckily, everything went smoothly with our trip-whirlwind though it was-and we got our VISAs incredibly faster than we expected (thanks to some financial incentive for "RUSH" processing) an we were all able to come back to Scotland together.  Luckily for me and sadly for James.  He was really looking forward to a long haul flight back without a toddler in tow.

Our next adventure will be moving houses here in Aberdeen.  Our landlord is unexpectedly returning sooner than anticipated and so we had to find somewhere new to live, which we did, and are optimistic that it will be a good change for CASA POPE.  Hopefully, Stella can adjust fairly quickly.

Stella will return after the move!
