Pitlochry B&B

Talk about THE BEST service we have ever gotten anywhere ever! With James having been gone most of the previous week for work-related conference, he had planned a short weekend getaway for the family to a small central Scotland B&B. We stayed at the East Haugh House Hotel just east of Pitlochry, a small town/village reminiscent of Main Street Boerne or Fredericksburg, TX. We decided to take Stella with us, well because we had no legal choice.  As in the states child abandonment is, well frowned upon quite severely.  James had of course, run this by the hotel prior to booking to which they were not only accommodating, but welcoming of a toddler (oh my!).  A thought that back home was unthinkable.  Not to say of course we ourselves haven't helped perpetuate the intolerance of others' offspring in public places.  Being as how we are all too well aware of how annoying other people's kids are, we try to be cognizant of the fact that others might find our offspring equally unappealing while dining at a quiet restaurant.
Anytime we needed anything the staff would anticipate our need prior to us stating so.  For the first time ever, Stella's cot was in the room before we arrived.  For lunch and dinner, they were generous with providing sustenance for our child at no extra cost.  They even helped direct us to where we could sit that would have the clearest range for our baby monitor.  There were even complimentary homemade cookies in our room (we didn't have to walk down to the lobby to get them like at DoubleTree).

Finally getting the hang of it!
