Thanksgiving [in the UK

We've been lucky that most of the "American" holidays we were used to celebrating are still celebrated in the UK with the exception of Thanksgiving and 4th of July.  Though, I was amazed at how many checkers at the stores kept asking me what I was doing for the 4th once they heard my American accent.  For Thanksgiving this year we made the LONG trip down to Oxford to visit with James' family who shared our love of turkey and stuffing for Thanksgiving.  We also had a chance to visit with Stella's GREAT-Grandparents on our 8 hour drive back to Aberdeen.  The unfortunate part of being in Europe but not ON the Continent is the lack of high speed trains.  So while we could take a train down it wouldn't be any bit faster than just driving ourselves.  Which with a 2 year old I'd rather have the option plus the car to explore.
She knows the drill-when the car's loaded up, it's gonna be a long haul.  Might as well go to sleep.

Visiting Blenheim Palace-Churchill's birthplace and boyhood home.

Reminded me of all the sygils in Game of Thrones.

Such a good little tourist everywhere she goes.

So it took us a few rooms to realize the handcuffs were part of an "art" installation.  Ya it didn't get any better or more tasteful as we went along.

Again, I love shiny things!

Managed to make a quick stop in Stratford-upon-Avon as well-Shakespeare's birth place.

And Oxford of course, with all it's colleges and Chapels.

Just a random old mail box...

Loving her time with Great Grandma
Always nice to have a multi-generational shot.  Not  sure how monkey counts in this one.
